It's getting closer!

As our New Zealand adventure looms closer, we are busy packing and preparing to move out of London on Tuesday. It is good to have something to focus on, since our trip is only two weeks away!

1. When do you leave?

We fly out of Toronto on May 7. First we visit Calgary and all our friends there (Brad, Elyse, Sassy, T-Dawg, Noodles, and Baker). We leave Calgary on May 12 and arrive in Sydney, Australia on May 14 to visit our friends Todd and Vicky. After all those shenanigans, we finally arrive in Auckland, New Zealand on May 31, and our year there begins.


2. What is your plan?

Our plan right now is no plan. We may buy a campervan again like we had in Oz, and most likely we will end up working a bit. Hopefully Andrea can get some teaching work there, and fix those Kiwis' odd vowel sounds. Our first goal, though, is relaxation and vacation! We can't wait to see the beaches, the mountains, the glaciers, the volcanoes, and the sheep.


3. How many suitcases are you bringing?

We are bringing one camping-sized backpack each. We did it for Australia, and it CAN be done! It is surprising how little you can actually live with. It's kind of refreshing... for a while, at least.


4. Where can we check out your awesome photographs?

There is a slideshow of our pictures on the left-hand side of this webpage that links to our flickr account, where we'll be putting up our pictures as we go (right now it's some random wedding pictures). If you click on a picture it will take you to our flickr account, so you can check out larger versions of the photos. 5. How can we keep in touch?

We are bringing a laptop with us, but this webpage is primarily how we will keep in touch and share our adventures. If you click on the "Comments" link below one of our postings, you can also post a comment. Make sure you choose "Comment as: Anonymous", and remember to sign your name or we'll have no idea who you are. We can't wait to hear from everyone!
